BIG night for the three remaining idol contestants.
Kris Allen was the first to make the final rounds. So the Adam vs. Danny showdown comes a week early (Paula predicted this would be the final outcome since the beginning!).
88 million people voted last night. Only one million votes separated the final contestants (in idol terms, that’s really not that much). Drum roll… Danny Gokey is sent home. As his run on Idol ends, Danny reprises You Are So Beautiful (which by the way was AMAZING and even better than last night’s).
I think next week very well might come down to the performances.
Simon says the finale is one the judges did not expect, but Kris’ second performance put him there. The best part of the night is when he adds, “This could be what we call the big ding-dong coming up next week.”
The big ding-dong? Really Simon?
On a side note, not so impressed by Jordan Sparks’ performance. However, Katy Perry mixed things up a bit. At the opening of her performance, her cape read “Adam Lambert”. I feel like Adam is running for office. I didn’t know that was allowed, but I’m sure Katy had a little surprise for idol producers! ha
Ok.. so tonight’s hometown segment was a lot better. Here’s the problem: you see each one of them go home and you see thousands and thousands of people so hopeful that contestant is the next American Idol. After they went through Danny, Kris, and Adam’s hometown visit, I didn’t want to see anyone go home!
Big week ahead! I will be keep you posted on any news or gossip as we reach the final week of American Idol!

so i honestly thought if danny made the finals with adam, then adam would win. but now that kris made the finals i am beginning to think kris is going to take it home. i think america is getting tired of hearing adam yell and screech the whole song. it should be a good show. GO KRIS
I’m not that upset about Gokey leaving, as good as he was, he never gave me goose bumps the way Kris and Adam have from the beginning.Gokey’s performances seemed to start out okay then get better by the middle then great at the end. I found myself waiting for the great part and was a few times disappointed when it didn’t come. Adam and Kris started out great and got greater.
I think Kris Allen has a very bright future ahead of him in the music industry, Gokey too for that matter but Adam Lambert will be our next American Idol.
I think Adam Lambert is way too good for American Idol. Every time I hear him sing I think ‘how could this guy not have already been discovered’
Well, he is certainly ‘discovered’ now and he will win,no question in my mind.
I am done with Idol.
for the last 3 years I have watched as the ones who should have won have been sent home. I will no longer be watching it. I do not know what is going on but America has not gotten it right seen Carrie won. It has gone down hill ever seen then. Danny is my Idol. I do not know how they kept Adam. I will not buy any of his music. As I have not bought any of david cooks. Because he do not win in my eyes.
