It seems that even Megan Joy knew it. Joy was voted off last night and the judges didn’t even give her the chance to save herself.
But we are talking about meg and she is one free spirit. She didn’t even shed a tear, well, until she said “baby, I’m coming home”. Meg will obviously be missed, she brought sometime unique to the show. Allison Hayes and I were talking about her the other day. While she may not be American Idol material, she has the potential to put together an amazing album. She’s beautiful and has a very unique voice.
Highlight of the night:
“I’m gonna walk the plank. It’s my plank … so let’s party,” Meghan said. All I have to say is where does she get her dance moves? For her “swan song”, she grabbed that mic and let loose! It was hilarious. I’m going to miss her!

Megan, Anoop Desai and Allison Iraheta were the bottom three. I am not so sure Allison deserved to be there, but Anoop probably did (Anoop, please get it right next week!). The judges would have saved Allison anyways, don’t forget, they still have that “save” card.
David Cook takes the stage:
The 2008 Idol champ returned to the stage to debut his new single “Come Back to Me”. There were rumors he was not going to make it for family reasons. If you remember from last year, his brother is battling advanced brain cancer. Apparently things are not looking good and I heard he’s had to cancel a few shows.
It was such a great suprise to see him on that stage, knowing what he is going through. I think he is such an amazing artist and you know he’s an amazing person as well. I just hope things get better for his family!
LADY GAGA Surprises the crowd:
Lady GaGa sang her No. 1 hit “Poker Face.” If you happened to catch this performance, you know what is going through my head right now. WHAT? I’m not saying it was a horrible performance, it was just out there. That’s all I will say.
NEXT WEEK
The Idols can choose a song from the year they were born.

Who the heck names their child “Anoop?”
I am glad to see Megan go. Yes, she’s adorable, quirky, etc… but it’s a singing competition.
I can’t wait to hear what Kris Allen will do this week! He has totally taken me by surprise. When he made it into the top 13, I could barely even remember who he was, but now he has shown that he is one to be contended with!
Adam what in the heck was that? Are you serious? You could pick any song you want and that’s what you go with?? He definitely is a great entertainer and at times has a nice voice, but I stand by my previous opinion… Not my cup of tea! Unless he sings Tracks of My Tears each week! That was probably my favorite performance of the season!
Danny Gokey was one of my early favorites, he’s still very good, but seems to have plateaued.
Lil Rounds seems to be losing her self. She’s trying so hard to pick the “right” song, that she keeps picking the absolute wrong song! When Randy and Simon tell you to pick Mary J. Blige songs… that’s what you should do!
Kalamazoo’s Matt Giraud is still one of my faves, but I don’t think he’s really connecting with the audience. He doesn’t really show a lot of personality. I’d like to hear him do some JT songs, but I bet if he does the judges will tell him he’s copy catting! Sometimes it’s so hard to please them!
Can’t wait for tonight!
Oh, btw… I actually really liked the Lady Gaga performance! She’s different! On the radio, that song is just ok, but I thought her performance was pretty cool!
